Known by another name, Sharp Asset, Ba-Shar is a combination of Chinese Shar-Pei and Basset Hound. Apart from being intelligent and affectionate, the dogs are loyal and protective to the owners.

Ba-Shar History
Being a relatively new breed, there is no exact information available when Ba-Shar came into this world. However, their parents do have a long history. Basset Hound was the popular hunting dog with large heads and short legs, bred first in France around the 1500s. The Shar-Pei is a Chinese dog that originated in China’s southern provinces about 2000 years ago. They are recognized with the wrinkles on their coat. Furthermore, Char-Pei is bred for its exceptional strength and later used as hunting and fighting dogs. Ba-Shar inherits traits from both the parents depending on breeding procedure and environment.

This bigger size dog has acquired many qualities from its parents. Ba-Shar has long floppy ears and a long body that is low towards the ground like Basset Hound.
