Breathable
This is important especially if you live in a hot or muggy area. The breathable fabric allows less chance of heat stroke or similar problems while still being sturdy enough to complete their purpose. Usually the most common fabric used in breathable vest are mesh, due to the holes in it that allow air to pass freely through it.
Adjustable
This is one of the best qualities a harness can have. If your dog has odd proportions or are slightly chunky in places, having an adjustable vest makes it fit to their specific body. Usually each vest comes with two buckles but some only have one. The more points of adjustment you have, the better it will fit.
Slip On
