The Boskimo is a crossover breed created by the intersection of the Boston Terrier and the American Eskimo. This dog is a great companion dog with the coat colors of black, white, or brindle combination. Its Boston Terrier parent is a smart and spunky breed, while American Eskimo is also an intelligent, loyal, and highly lovable dog. Both transfer these traits to their hybrid Boskimo.

Boskimo, a hybrid dog, has less history, but we have a great account of its parental history. The Boston Terrier was reared in Boston, Massachusetts; hence, it is an American dog mostly called “American Gentleman.” Its origin can date back to the 1800s from the crossbreeding of Bulldog-Terrier and a white dog of unsure lineage. This dog inherited the best sight instinct from its parents and transferred it to its hybrid.
American Kennel Club registered this canine in 1893 with its old name “Hector.” On the flip side, The American Eskimo was known to be American Spitz, but its name was changed in 1917. It was at one time a great performer at traveling circus shows. American Eskimo has a lovely white coat used to amuse the audience as it shined during its stunt performance in the show. It was a popular dog breed in the US with numerous recognitions from Designer Dogs Kennel Club, American Canine Hybrid Club, Dog Registry of America, and International Designer Canine Registry.
