Chin-pin is easy to groom. They have a short coat with straight hair, which requires brushing at least once a month. It is also advisable to bathe them once a month with a shampoo approved by your vet. Bathing them more will cause the essential oils in their coat to erode, and this will leave them with a dry and unappealing look. It would be best if you also keep their ears clean and their nails clipped.

Chin-Pin Activity Levels

This designer hybrid has moderate activity levels, which are slightly higher than other lapdogs exercise requirements; this depends on which parent breed dominated in them. But as a rule of thumb, you should ensure that they get at least 30-40 minutes of daily exercise. Taking them along for short walks in the park and letting them have plenty of indoor playtimes is ideal.

Due to their short coat, the chin-pin is unsuitable for extreme weather. During summers, keep an eye out for symptoms of overheating, such as excessive panting. You may need to get a small jacket to cover them up in winters. As they have pointed ears, they are not prone to ear infections like the other dogs with floppy and long ears. But it is important to check their ears for excessive wax, debris, and ticks.
