The Chizer is a hybrid dog breed that results from the cross between the Chihuahua and the Miniature Schnauzer. It goes by many names; Schnizer, Schnauchi, and Scnauhuahua. The last one’s fun to pronounce, no? This cute hybrid was originally bred for its companionship and intelligence, both wonderful traits found in the parent breeds.

The Chizers are small, cute, loyal, bold, confident, independent, and highly active dogs who are very affectionate and loving towards their family members and are quite protective of them. They may not be very friendly with other pets and small children; however, they can be very friendly and social if they grow up with small children and are taught socialization in their early stages.

The Schnauzer was developed in Germany in the 1800s to guard and act as watchdogs. They are quite playful, love attention, and are always looking to be part of family activities.

The Chizer is a toy-sized, loving, and snuggly dog with a round, long, or apple-shaped head, depending on the parent breed it takes after. The ears are big and usually erect, floppy in some cases, and the coat is usually short but can belong as well, and its texture may be wiry, corded, and wavy. Possible colours your dog can inherit are black, brown, chocolate, white, fawn, pied, and grey. They have big, brown, alert eyes that complement their confident expression.
