The Corgi has two varieties: the Pembroke welsh corgi and the Cardigan Welsh corgi. Pembrokes are famous among both, as they were used to produce Pembrokeshire by mixing them with Maltese. The Pembroke has its origins in Wales. Their history is not well known, but Queen Elizabeth used to have Pembroke Welsh Corgi. AKC(American Kennel Club) recognized them in 1934.
