Doberdane is protective, friendly, and courageous. These Noble dogs adopt these worthy qualities from their parents, both of which are well-known dogs out there. This loyal dog results from a cross between the Doberman and the Great Dane. These dogs are super loyal and love to make their owners happy and play with them. Though, they tend to be reserved around new faces.
Just like the other Doberman mixes, they have sparse coats with straight hair. Their appearance usually shows a lot of variation from individual to individual. They are usually good with other pets and small children, which makes them good family pets. But due to their large size, they are not suited for an apartment lifestyle. It is better to keep them in a house with a fenced garden.
Doberdane is one of the new breeds of companion dogs that originated in the last 20 – 25 years. And because of that, there isn’t much that we know about them. The man behind creating the Doberman breed is believed to be Karl Friedrich. He was a letter-man who felt unsafe while delivering letters to neighborhoods with bad reputations and wanted a loyal companion who would accompany him through this for protection.
The Great Dane is an old dog breed. The tallest dog to ever exist was a Dane named Zeus. These incredible dogs were made from a cross between the Mastiff and the Wolfhound in Germany. They were initially used for hunting. Their popularity increased in the 1800s, and AKC officially recognized them in 1887.
Doberdane is tall, sturdy, and athletic. They have a graceful aura around them which is enhanced by their large-sized, muscular legs and rectangular heads. Their ears are mostly upright (can be floppy) and rest on a long and blocky head. Their muzzle is long, tapered, and parallel to their skull and has a black nose at its tip.
Their coats tend to show a lot of variation and are dependent on which parent breed dominates in them. Typically, it is smooth, glossy, and silky. The hair are usually short, straight, and of a medium-density. Possible coat colors include Black, brown, red, fawn, and brindle.

These dogs are loyal, compassionate, and alert. They may look intimidating and dangerous, but that’s not the case. If you have the privilege of spending time with this marvelous dog, you’ll realize that they’re really sweet, caring, and calm. They do have a ferocious side to them, though, which makes them excellent guard dogs when combined with their loyalty.
Doberdanes are usually friendly and loving, but it isn’t a good idea to keep them around small children due to their large size. Additionally, they are moderately social and do well with other pets if socialized early on. But again, because of their large size, you have to be cautious when small pets are around.
