The Magyar Agar is a tough, active, vigilant, and alert dog that also goes by the name Hungarian Greyhound because it comes from Hungary and has the appearance and stamina of the Greyhound. It is noteworthy that the word “agar” means “gaze hound” or “wind hound,” and “Magyar” means “Hungary” in the Hungarian language. So basically, the name means Hungarian Gaze/Wind Hound!
