The Majestic Tree Hound is a large canine that is a crossbreed believed to result from a cross between the Bloodhound and the Black and Tan Coonhound. It is a scent-hound recognized for its remarkable hunting skills, a big nose with an ultra-sensitive sniffing ability, and great companionship.

The ancestors of these dogs are thought to be the Bloodhound, the Grand Bleu de Gascogne, the Basset Hound, and the Treeing Walker Coonhound.
It was registered with the National Majestic Tree Hound Association in 1980 and later on with the National Kennel Club. The formerly mentioned club was formed to promote and preserve this marvelous breed as it recognized the wonderful traits they possess and how they’re so much more than just hunting dogs.
