The Poo-Shi (An absolutely adorable name) is a splendid cross between the Poodle and the Shih-Tzu. The Poo-Shi is also known as the Shih-Poo. Unfortunately, there is currently no credible info about the conception and promotion of this breed.
The reason for this mysteriousness can be correlated to the rise of designer dogs in the past century. Nevertheless, we will, to the best of our abilities, attempt to understand the Poo-Shi. The approach to understanding this breed is more rational and standardized.
Poo-Shi History
Due to the lack of knowledge on this breed, we have to analyze the Poo-Shi differently. The Poodle of the Poo-Shi is a German breed. Despite its modern designer look, the Poo-Shi was more of a hunter originally. It was used to hunt Water Fowl. The breed developed after its adoption by France. Currently, we have two versions of the Poodle, the Miniature and the Standard Poodle.
Comparing the Poodle to the Shih-Tzu, we realize that the Shih-Tzu has always been a companion dog. The Shih-Tzu has furthermore been one of the most important dogs in China. It was revered by monks and emperors alike. The people also loved it, and some even worshipped it. From this data, we can only conclude that perhaps the Poo-Shi was created as a bid to get both the appearance of the Shih-Tzu and the resourcefulness of the Poodle.
Poo-Shi Characteristics
What will the Poo-Shi look like? We can’t give you an accurate answer to this question either. We only know that it will take after one of its parents. The coat should, in general, be medium length to slightly longer. The colors will remain between Black, Brown, White, and Grey. The Poo-Shi may have the snub nose of the Shih-Tzu. Generally, the Poo-Shi should also be small in size.

The Poo-Shi is an adorable doggie with adorable proportions. The height for the Poo-Shi is 8 to 13 inches. You can carry about two Poo-Shi’s in your arms quite easily. Pay attention to its behavior. Look for signs of abnormal fatigue, blotches, fever, or anything off. You have to be diligent and active. Please take it to the vet at least once per month.
