The Pudelpointer was developed with the help of Mr. Zedlitz’s like-minded friends. Bobo Winterhelt first imported the Pudelpointer into Canada. A club was also set for this breed in 1977 in Canada. The Pudelpointer is currently a member of the AKC’s stock service.

Pudelpointer Characteristics

The Pudelpointer has a pretty rigid standardization. The coat is bound to be dense and medium length. It’s also water-resistant to a certain degree, thanks to Poodle genes. The colors for the coat are Brown and Black. The colors are static for this doggie, which is a good identification point.

Eye color is where it shines. The Pudelpointer may have Hazel, Amber, or Brown eyes. The Pudelpointer may have a beard too. Think about a goatee but wider. All in all, the Pudelpointer will look like a wise old dog with years of experience.
