A Tenterfield Terrier is a tiny, extremely efficient ratter Terrier developed from ship’s dogs that escorted sailors arriving in Australia from England. They are rambunctious small dogs with a curious and daring attitude, & while they are lively and demand a lot of training, they are generally friendly and calmer at home.

This breed is considered nice to children, but they may be aggressive with other dogs, and their high hunting drive can make them dangerous to cats and other tiny, fast-moving animals. While they might resist rigorous training methods, they react well to short bursts of positive training.
