The Pushon is a cross between the Pug and the Bichon Frise. It is like an episode of the Simpsons crossing over with Rick and Morty. In much simpler words, it is the culmination of success and perfection. This small doggie could have no other practical purpose than to ensnare your heart in its cuteness.

In the following paragraphs, we will sing its praises and cement its supremacy. Hopefully, you’ll be a diehard fan of this breed by the end too.

Pushon History

Pushon Dog Breed Information All You Need To KnowThe Pug is a Chinese breed by origin. The specific area of its origin in China is unknown. We do know that it has been around for at least 2000 years. The Han Dynasty period was when the Pushon was at its peak. It was sent to other states and countries as presents and through trade. The Pug made its way into Europe by the 15th Century. The Pug is truly a blessed dog because it found a following even in Europe. The AKC accepted it in 1885.

The Bichon Frise is a founder of numerous other breeds. It is closely related to the Havanese and the Coton de Tulear. The ancestors of this doggie are believed to be the Poodle and the Barbet Water Spaniel. The Pushon has always been a companion dog. The AKC accepted it in 1972. As stated above, it was most probably bred to be a manageable companion dog.

Pushon Characteristics

The Pushon will have varying degrees of cuteness, and all of them will be above average. It will have a small size and medium-length coat. The colors for the Pushon include White, Black, Cream, Isabella, and Brown. The face of the Pushon is a cross between the roundness of the Bichon and the Hairlessness of the Pug. It has drooping ears that are bent close to its head.

How Big do Pushon Get

Both parents of the Pushon are small and cute. So it’s only natural for the Pushon itself to be small and cute too. The males, in general, are between 8 and 13 inches tall. The females are usually 8 to 11 inches tall. The appropriate weight range for both genders is 10 to 14 lbs. The females may be a bit lighter at the max limits.

How Long Does Pushon Live

The Pushon lives between 12 and 15 years of age. It is surprisingly long for other Pug mixes. You could even say that it’s miraculous considering its health deficits. These deficits will be explained in more detail in the “Health” section. We will also recommend paying attention to the Diet and Exercise areas. These are the two most vital elements to maintain the life of the Pushon.

How Much Does a Pushon Cost

Generally, determining prices for designer breeds isn’t that easy. There are at least eight different factors that keep the price of these doggies volatile. However, we can give you a general range based on market inference and statistics. The price range for the Pushon is 400 to 1100 dollars. Normally the initial price should be close to 600 dollars for an average puppy.

Pushon Temperament/Personality

The Pushon is a small, fragile dog that loves playing big and tough. Brooding around this doggie is hardly possible. Even pictures of this doggie are enough to cheer people up. Like we always say, Bichon Frise mixes are blessed. The Pushon can love almost any person. It doesn’t make an effective guard dog. But it sure can give you good pep talks.

Training it is easy. The Bichon’s traits mostly override the Pug’s stubbornness. With its combination, you get an obedient and easy-to-train doggie. Of course, you may still use cheats like treats to keep it even more motivated and healthy.

Caring for Pushon

The Pushon is a doggie that will love you no matter what. However, it still doesn’t mean that you exploit this love and ignore all of its needs. As a parent, it’s your job to learn and understand your baby’s needs, so please pay attention.

Pushon Nutrition

The Pushon will require one cup of dog food and no more. Therefore, it is imperative that the daily volume not be exceeded. However, if you do exceed the volume, then please maintain its exercise accordingly. You also need to understand that the Pushon can be picky about taste.

How to Groom a Pushon

The Pushon will usually require a bit of effort to groom. You will have to brush its coat once every day. It won’t take more than 20 minutes. Bathe it sparingly. Bathing it often could lead to skin problems. You should also be careful about brushing its teeth and trimming its nails. The teeth need to be brushed at least four times per week. The nails should be trimmed once every two weeks.

Pushon Activity Levels

For its size, we would say the energy requirements of the Pushon are excessive. Imagine a puppy shorted than a foot needing 60 minutes of exercise. You can’t ignore the exercise sessions because it will get restless. You should try to keep the Pushon as engaged as possible. You can use a Dog Treadmill to deplete its energy to a certain extent.

Caring for Pushon

We all love signs of affection from our friends and companions. The Pushon shows its affection by wanting to wake you up in the morning. However, there are two problems. First, the Pushon’s breathe usually stinks. The other is the short size of the Pushon. It can’t get up onto your bed. What can you do to solve this problem?

The breath problem can be solved by brushing the Pushon’s teeth. You can use an appropriate Toothpaste for Dogs to brush its teeth. You can also use a Dog Breath Freshener. The height problem is permanent. You can get rid of it by getting a Dog Ramp. You can also use Dog Steps and Stairs. The steps and stairs also help the Pushon in getting appropriate exercise.

Pushon Health

As stated above in the Lifespan section, the health of the Pushon isn’t much to look at. Due to the diverse genes of the parents, the Pushon has a lot of risks attached to its immunity. The main problems are CHD, Idiopathic Epilepsy, Corneal Ulcer, and various Allergies. Dry Eye and Cataracts are also conditions that will probably affect your doggie. The worst part is the age factor.

The only thing that you can do for your buddy is paying attention. Pay attention to what exactly? Please pay attention to its diet. Pay attention to what it’s doing. Please pay attention to whether it’s getting appropriate exercise. Also, pay attention to the number of vet visits. Your dog needs at least one vet visit per month.
